Hello there! Thanks for thinking of us! xx

WE DID IT!!!!!!

Yes Sophie did keep me going - she is a hard little task master - we did it in short bursts - sometimes we ran, sometimes we walked - but WE DID IT!! The best times were had going past the drummers - they were AMAZING - it really helped to pace your feet to the beat - I wanted to hug them all and also all the volunteers who supported with clapping and words of encouragement. The crowds were amazing, the atmosphere was so good AND at the end we were asked would you like a free massage and complimentary jelly babies! Oooh, YES please!!!!

Glad we bought good trainers - NO blisters at all! :) :)

After the race we slept most of the afternoon AND most of the evening before having a really good nights sleep! Good job we hadn't booked any tickets anywhere because far too exhausted!
We did have a lovely meal after the race - three courses for £10 each at BUMBLES on Buckingham Palace Road - well recommended particularly because of the comfy chairs and LOVELY staff! But had to go down very steep stairs to the loos :( Ouch, that was a struggle! Ooo and the lady who was having a very loud and long conversation about her many gynacological experiences! Sophie not too impressed with that! lol!!

Thanks so much for all the support you have given, we're still collecting for a few weeks but if anyone is having problems, I think you can enquire about donating directly to NRAS via fundraising@rheumatoid.org.uk

I've spoken to virginmoneygiving and no problems with the site but Ive had similar problems myself recently with donating to a friend who's fund raising - card not accepted at first but I re-tried and was then successful - something technical I guess but I checked afterwards and only took one payment not twice :)

But would advise emailing NRAS is an option or maybe ring and speak to Val who has been so helpful all the way with our fund raising,

Thanks all, Lots of love from Liz and Sophie xxxxx
